The Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, Abdoulaye Bathily, attended a meeting grouping the 5+5 Joint Military Committee and the security working group emanating from the Berlin track in Tunisia on Tuesday
"Today in Tunis, I attended the opening session of the 5+5 Joint Military Commission (JMC) retreat, in the presence of the Co-Chairs of the Security Working Group of the Berlin process," Bathily wrote on his X platform, indicating that the parties discussed the recent political and security developments in Libya.
The UN envoy praised the JMC for its "sense of responsibility and unity,” stressing the significance of their role in the full and effective implementation of the ceasefire agreement and relevant action plans.
