International Defence Exhibition (IDEX 2025), the largest defense exhibition in the Middle East, kicked off in Abu Dhabi under the patronage of the President of the United Arab Emirates, and with the support

of the country's government and armed forces.

Held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) in the United Arab Emirates Due to the importance of the defense sector, the UAE has worked to provide the best technical technologies in the defense industrial field (land, air, sea), under the patronage of the President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The importance of IDEX 2025 comes in terms of being a global platform to showcase the latest defense technologies and equipment from around the world and contributes to strengthening cooperation and partnerships between companies and countries in the field of defense with the possibility of providing great business opportunities for participating companies, where they can display their products and attract customers and investors to exchange experiences and knowledge between experts and specialists in the field of defense.

The 17th session witnessed wide global participation in IDEX 2025 and great interest from the countries of the world to review the latest global technical development, and in a step to promote solutions in the international industries sector in a desire to maintain international peace and security, as it represents a meeting point for senior decision-makers in the field of defense and security, which contributes to the development of new strategies and the achievement of regional and international security.

Many leading countries and companies in the defense sector participated in the exhibition, with a wide range of products and services, military equipment, defense technology, smart solutions, and others, in addition to accompanying events, discussion sessions, workshops, and trainings, which help enhance understanding of defense security.

Among the exhibitors, the pavilion of the Arab Organization for Industrialization was distinguished in an impressive way, which proves the authority's leadership in localizing the latest technologies in the field of defense industries, as it displayed various and modern products, including: Munitions, including air munitions, Hafez family. Missiles include artillery missiles, air-to-ground missiles, and the anti-flagged missile system. The wings also included electronic equipment, including the smart ball for landmines. and aircraft, including k8E training aircraft.

 

 

For the first time, Uzbekistan is participating in the event, unveiling its latest military equipment, including the Arslon 8×8 and Arslon 6×6 armored personnel carriers and the To'fon self-propelled howitzer.

Pakistan unveiled its latest loitering munition, BLAZE-25, at the International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX) 2025 in Abu Dhabi.

Designed and manufactured by a leading Pakistani defense company, the BLAZE-25 is a smart tube-fired loitering munition designed for precision strikes in short-range scenarios. As the lightest and most compact member of the drone family, it offers a balance between operational flexibility and lethal power.

French defense equipment manufacturer KNDS France officially unveiled the CENTURIO-X30, its latest innovation in automated ground combat technology, at IDEX 2025.

The advanced unmanned combat vehicle, first demonstrated in this configuration, is designed to provide heavy fire support to mobile units while maintaining remote operation capabilities.

CENTURIO-X30 WAS ARMED WITH A 30 MM AUTOMATIC GUN (30 × 113) AND BUILT ON THE PHOBOS PLATFORM, DEVELOPED IN COLLABORATION WITH THE KNDS PARTNER, SOGECLAIR.

UAE-based defence group EDGE unveiled its latest air warfare innovation at IDEX 2025, presenting a prototype of the JENIAH unmanned air combat vehicle.

Developed by EDGE's ADASI, the JENIAH UCAV is designed for high-speed, low-surveillance operations, expanding the capabilities of unmanned aerial systems in both land and sea missions.

According to the EDGE Group, the JENIAH system has a cruising speed of Mach 0.7 and a top speed exceeding 1,000 km/h, making it one of the fastest unmanned aerial vehicles in its class. With an operational range designed for strategic engagements, it can carry a payload of up to 480 kg, enabling it to carry out a wide range of mission profiles, from intelligence gathering to precision strikes on high-value targets.

Unplugged Performance, which specializes in performance upgrades for Tesla, unveiled its modified Cybertruck at the IDEX 2025 Defense Show in Abu Dhabi.

The upgraded car, called UP INVINCIBLE Cybertruck, was presented at the International Golden Group (IGG) stand in collaboration with defense partner Archimedes Defense.

The company stated: "The UP INVINCIBLE Cybertruck debuts at IDEX (International Defence Exhibition) in Abu Dhabi at the International Golden Group Pavilion today with our defense partners Archimedes Defense. We encourage buyers in the region to consider the many benefits of our Cybertrucks for service."

The size of Turkey's participation in the International Defense Exhibition "IDEX-2025", hosted by the United Arab Emirates, from February 17 to 21.

A spokeswoman for the Turkish pavilion said that "Turkish arms companies have been present in the region for years and participate in previous editions of the defense industries exhibition, and many of the weapons displayed are used by many countries, especially armored vehicles such as the Arma armored vehicle, which is used by more than 40 countries around the world and has proven its field efficiency, especially with regard to flexibility, protection and armoring."

The 2025 edition of IDEX and NAVDEX is witnessing an increase in the number of exhibiting companies, reaching 1,565 companies from 65 countries, a growth of 16 percent compared to the last edition, while the total area of the exhibition increased by 10 percent, compared to the previous edition, to reach 181,501 square meters.

The current edition will also witness the participation of more than 731 new companies, an increase of 82 per cent compared to the last edition, and the participation of 41 national pavilions, while the number of national companies participating reached 213 companies, representing 16 per cent of the total exhibiting companies, while the percentage of international companies is 84 per cent.

 

 

 

Barzan Holding Group of Companies, the investment arm of Qatar's Ministry of Defense, is participating with its latest defense industries at IDEX 2025.

A range of advanced products and solutions will be showcased including locally manufactured modular weapons systems, high-quality ammunition, advanced portable weapons systems, anti-drone systems, as well as an integrated armament management platform "Gear", according to exhibits inside the special pavilion in the State of Qatar, which is participating for the first time.

The State Pavilion showcases domestically manufactured modular armament systems, high-quality small and medium-caliber ammunition at the Baroud Ammunition Factory, advanced portable weapons systems produced by Hazelnut, a joint venture between Barzan Holding and Beretta Holding Group, as well as anti-drone systems produced by Arbat.

It also offers a range of advanced technologies including anti-drone technologies, integrated anti-drone systems, and anti-ground unmanned vehicle systems.

The Saudi pavilion participating in IDEX 2025 will showcase the latest locally developed defense technologies in the fields of military, defense and security industries, and many military products, to introduce the capabilities of the defense and military industries sector, which highlights the great development witnessed by the military industries sector in the Kingdom.

The Saudi pavilion participating in the exhibition includes the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI), the General Authority for Defense Development (GADD), the World Defense Show (WDS), and a number of national companies operating in the military industries sector such as the Saudi Arabian Military Industries Company (SAMI), and the National Company for Mechanical Systems (NCMS), Saudi Middle East Aircraft Engines Company (MEPC), Saudi Chemical Holding Company (SCCH), Alkhorayef Group, Life Shield for Military Industries (LIFE SHIELD), and Emaan International Company (Emaan) International), Qudra Industrial Co., in addition to the Saudi Aircraft Preparation and Maintenance Company (GDC).).

Overall, IDEX 2025 is a milestone event in the international military-industrial calendar that will significantly impact the fields of defence and security in the region and beyond and strengthen the exhibition's position as an international platform now and in the future.
