As growth in Electronic Warfare (EW) capabilities accelerate across the Middle East, leading nations acknowledge that EW remains critical to operational effectiveness. Electronic Warfare GCC (EWGCC) has been designed with the EW military and security professional in mind looking to learn from new technologies and case studies across the spectrum of Electronic Warfare including Cyber, SIGINT, COMINT and ELINT.

Hosted by the UAE EW Command with attendees from across the Gulf Cooperative Council, EWGCC aims to attract over 200 delegates from 17 nations and key decision makers from all GCC countries providing an ideal opportunity to mingle with like-minded and engaged colleagues from the field.
Conference sessions include; Joint EW Management, Joint EW Planning Considerations, Multinational Operations, Training and Cyber with papers being presented by academics and EW specialist operations including Commander Dave Hewitt RN, Officer Commanding Executive Wind, JEWOSC, UK.
Having jointed the Royal Navy in 1997 Commander Hewitt has served as an EW operator, director and manager in both the maritime and land environments with notable operations including; Northern Ireland, the Falklands and the Iran/Iraq War.
Commander Hewitt assumed command of the Joint EW Operational Support Centre Executive Wing in February 2010 and will focus his presentation on “How Joint Forces are Organised to Plan Executive EW?”
“Cyber influences of EW” will be discussed by Nigel Jones, Senior Research Fellow, Cranfield University, Defence Academy with Squadron Leader Fernando C Gonzalez, ADF Airworthiness Standards, the Royal Australian Air Force, providing an Australian perspective of “Joint Service Operations”.
