The activities of SAHA EXPO 2024, which is described as the largest exhibition in the region in the field of defense, aerospace and space industry under the slogan "Controlling Technology and Shaping the Future",

have concluded. Its activities were launched on October 22-26 amidst a large official presence and in a distinctive festive atmosphere as it represents the productive power of the Turkish defense industry that has made a name for itself with the local and national products it produces all over the world.

The exhibition aims to introduce the Turkish military industry to the world, which has made great progress towards its export goals, and has displayed its latest technical and military production in participations at the SAHA EXPO.

The exhibition was organized by SAHA Istanbul, and the exhibition is considered the largest industrial gathering in Turkey and Europe with more than 1,200 companies and 29 universities, under the auspices of the Presidency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Interior, and the Ministry of Interior. Defense, Ministry of Industry and Technology, Ministry of Trade, Ministry of Transport, and will be implemented with the participation and support of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Presidency of Defense Industries and other civil and military public institutions.

SAHA EXPO International Defense and Aerospace Industry Fair, which is held every two years, hosted its visitors at Istanbul Expo Center (IFM) from October 22 to 26. SAHA EXPO is held for the 4th time at IFM with a total area of ​​90 thousand square meters, including 8 exhibition halls, a foyer and an open area.

This year's fair activities brought together more than 1,400 exhibitors, more than 300 official delegations, more than 150 trade delegations, 150 thousand visitors, 25 thousand B2B meetings, more than 300 product launches, more than 200 signing ceremonies, 12 international panel discussions and keynote speeches.

This year, there was a high-level participation from 120 countries in the fair. SAHA EXPO 2024 hosted 23 ministers, including the Prime Minister and 14 Ministers of Defense, 312 official delegations, including Deputy Prime Ministers, Chiefs of General Staff, Undersecretaries and Defense Industry Presidents. In addition to the official delegations, approximately 178 foreign buyer delegations and a total of 1,478 companies participated, boosting the growing defense industry exports to establish new and fruitful cooperation.

 

SAHA has generated an economic value of over $6 billion as an international platform to showcase Türkiye’s growing defense and aerospace production potential and its independent production power.

 

For the first time at SAHA, the viewing and inspection of warships and unmanned marine vehicles produced with domestic and national resources, which the Turkish Defense Industry recently provided to the Naval Forces in this context, were opened to official delegations and participants at Sarayburnu and Ataköy ports. SAHA EXPO brings together all stakeholders of the global ecosystem through B2B and G2G meetings, national and international committees that shape the sector, signing ceremonies, product launches, and numerous official and business delegations from all regions of the world. Designed to facilitate connections and collaboration between SAHA EXPO 2024 participants, the AI-powered SAHA Match platform creates connections between participants and facilitates collaboration. This enables companies to request meetings with potential customers or suppliers listed in their reports through the B2B Meetings Portal during the exhibition.

 

More than 300 products were launched and more than 200 contracts were signed at SAHA EXPO. At the fair, many products and technologies developed in the Turkish defense industry were also presented for the first time.

ASELSAN stood out by showcasing its latest advanced electronic warfare pods and anti-drone systems. These new pods, named ANTIDOT 2-U LB/MB/HB, ANTIDOT 2-U and ANTIDOT 2-U/S, were unveiled, which are designed to enhance the capabilities of drones and turn them into advanced electronic warfare platforms.

The Turkish Defense Technologies Engineering Corporation (STM) unveiled the “STM NETA 300” unmanned submarine and the “STM500” anti-submarine unmanned submarine for the first time.

HAVELSAN also showcased a new command and control product, “Time Server”, for the first time, and introduced its Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) defense system using a new drone.

Leading arms manufacturer Sarsilmaz showcased its diverse capabilities, presenting a comprehensive range of innovative and precision weapons that meet the needs of the Turkish military and its partners in the Middle East. Roketsan presented 3 new products.

UAE defense company Calidus Aerospace announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Havelsan to supply the Ground Training System (GBTS) for the UAE’s leading Calidus aerial platform during the exhibition.

EDGE, the world’s leading advanced technology and defense group, and Baykar, the world’s leading drone and AI technology company, signed a cooperation agreement during SAHA EXPO 2024.

The exhibition was a success by all standards, bringing together many Turkish and international companies in the defense, electronics and technical industries under one roof with a large attendance that exceeded all expectations.
