The Libyan Navy's Shafak boat is participating in the "EFES-2024" multinational military exercise, which is being held on the territory of the Republic of Turkey and under its leadership. It is considered EFES one of the largest
military exercises in the world in terms of the number of participating forces and the breadth of the war theater for the exercise between the cities of Ankara and Izmir.
The leadership of the Turkish Army's Amphibious Task Group confirmed the implementation of joint exercises within the scope of the exercise "EFES-2024" during the period between the 9th and the 30th of May, under the direct supervision and leadership of the Aegean Army.
A total of 567 individuals from 49 countries are participating in the series of exercises, including Arab countries, namely Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the Emirates, Qatar, Morocco, and Bahrain. 21 will actually participate, while 28 countries will participate as observers.
The exercises include a computer-assisted command center exercise, which began, followed by other field exercises with live ammunition from May 9 to May 30, with the aim of enhancing joint military capabilities and readiness levels with the participation of many countries.
The exercise aims to achieve international security and stability, the solidarity of the participating countries, readiness to confront terrorist organizations, highlight capabilities and raise high efficiency, enhance cooperation and strengthen military understanding, and implement mixed missions in a multinational environment, in addition to implementing the plan for loading and strategic transportation of forces from their areas of concentration
